In 1999, co-founders Jeff Sumner and Brett Harney left ‘Corporate America’ and the large telecommunications firms they worked for to form Corporate Technologies Group, Inc.
CTG began with the idea that customer service will set it apart from the competition. Initially selling local services, long distance, and basic internet out of their home offices, Jeff and Brett were able to quickly grow the company due to their ability to provide objective recommendations and customized solutions for all voice and data services.
In two years, CTG had five employees and had moved their offices twice due to company growth. Over the next five years, the company doubled in size again. By 2008, the company had increased to the point of needing to move again, which is when Brett & Jeff purchased the current location on Darrow Road in Hudson, Ohio.
In mid 2011, Corporate Technologies Group expanded service offerings to include Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) management to better service our clients. The thrust of this direction was to provide more services to our clients as applications have become more demanding on business’s networks.
In 2018, Corporate Technologies Group grew again by acquiring Pro OnCall’s Northern Ohio branch. This branch primarily focuses on premise based phone systems, something that CTG hasn’t focused on before. With this new acquisition, CTG is now able to offer both premise and hosted phone solutions to clients and new customers. Always considering the best solution to fit a company’s business needs, CTG is constantly growing and expanding to accommodate the increasing business, and today employs a thriving group of individuals ready to provide superior network advice and support.
