CompTIA A+ certification validates foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in IT support. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. CompTIA A+ Essentials measures technical understanding of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.
The CompTIA Network+ certification is the sign of a qualified network professional. This certification covers network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management, and security. Companies such as Dell, HP, Ricoh, Sharp and Xerox recommend or require CompTIA Network+ for their network technicians.
